Ouray, Colorado is often called "Switzerland of America" because of its towering mountain peaks with a charming town set in the valley below. It is a popular resort town in southwestern Colorado that is not far from Telluride, Ridgway, and Montrose. Real estate is selling at a premium here, and there are very few vacant lots left inside the town limits. This building lot is at the north end of town, only 200 feet from the ballfields at the town park and 700 feet from the famous Ouray Hot Springs pool.
Ouray enacted recent ordinances stating that on the lower level of downtown lots no more than 75% of the ground floor space may be residential, with the balance commercial space.
